The Fire
Where matches are played.
Every match is played around the bonfire. Find a village, take a stool, and the rest of this guide begins.
- Where
- Lobbies, on the bar — or Find a Game in the news
- Players
- 6 to 12 at a table, villagers in the empty stools
- Costs
- Nothing. Every match is free
- Gives
- Silver, XP and finds, win or lose
- Open Lobbies and pick a village from the list, or make your own: a name, a password if you like, or a private village only an invitation finds.
- Quick match seats you at once — with villagers, or with players as soon as enough are waiting.
- In the waiting room the host may fill the empty stools with villagers and press Start.
- A table of players only pays a little more of everything, and only those count on the leaderboards.
Villagers or players. Every match earns: a table filled with villagers earns Silver, XP, finds and achievements just like a table of players. The leaderboards count only matches of players. At a table with villagers, sit idle (never vote, act or speak) and you take only the reward for finishing.
A table of players. When every stool holds a player as the match begins, everyone earns a quarter as much Silver and XP again, shown as its own line on the score screen.
Quick match. With villagers, you sit at once at a table of 6 to 12. With players, you wait in the queue until enough are ready and the match begins; after a little while you are offered a table with villagers instead.
Harvest Nights. Now and then the news announces a Harvest Night: every match that begins while it lasts pays more Silver and XP, and a gold ribbon counts it down.
