Alie’s Well
A coin for a fortune.
A coin in the well, and a fortune in Alie’s voice. Now and then, something more.

- Press the well when it shimmers: your coin is free.
- Otherwise press Toss a coin; the price is shown before you pay, and the next one too.
- Most coins bring a fortune. Some bring a boon: more XP, more Silver, a nudge toward a role, or a better chance at a page.
- A boon shows as a flask beside the bar and runs while you play.
Alie’s Fortune. Press the well in the square, and Alie the fortune-teller listens for your coin. A free coin waits every few hours — the well shimmers when one does — and while it rests a coin costs Silver, a little more each time, until the next free one; the window always says this price and the next.
Most coins bring a fortune: a few words in Alie’s voice, or the well muttering the name of someone you saw cast in. Now and then a coin brings a boon: more XP or more Silver for an hour of play, a pull toward a role for your next few matches, or a better chance at a hidden page. A boon never touches anyone else’s card, and it is yours alone.
The fallen may toss a coin while the match goes on; the living at the fire cannot.
