The Fire and the Clock
Midnight to sunrise, wood and Sabotage.
Every match starts at midnight and ends at sunrise, 5:00 AM. The bonfire starts with five hours of wood: exactly enough to reach dawn, and not an hour more.
The village starts with 5 hours of wood and burns one each Round, from 12:00 AM to sunrise at 5:00 AM.
- Each night (−1 hour). The fire burns one hour, every Round.
- A Sabotage (−1 hour). The Werewolves burn one hour more. Never two nights running: the village keeps watch.
- A log (+1 hour). The Woodsman brings one back from the forest.
Everyone sees the line “The fire will last until 5:00 AM” in the corner. It turns ember red when the fire will die before sunrise, so a stalled village always knows the stakes.
The Village wins if the fire is still burning at sunrise. The Werewolves win if it dies first.
